- Up to this year anybody with a $30 business license could be a home inspector with no education or experience.
- When you go for your certification, they tell you it’s a visual non intrusive inspection which means an inspector only has to check a representative number of items (and assume the others are ok). That is not okay with us! We check every outlet, every switch, every window, every door so that you know what works and what doesn’t.
- Certification is a 40 hour course taken over two weekends, and that’s supposed to be enough knowledge to inspect a home?
- Most home inspectors have a limited knowledge of every area concerning a home and its construction therefore they do not know the potential problems that may not be visible during the time of the inspection, but should be pointed out as a future issue to inform their client.
- Without having the proper knowledge of every area of a home, most home inspectors have no idea on how to properly fix things and therefore cannot distinguish between something of a major concern and something minor.
